i thought this was up already. one of the very few albums that sounds exactly like its title. some songs feel like looking down on a city from the highest building and seeing no motion aside from driver-less trains, some feel like gazing up through storm drains. the hints of melody (clearing sky) dont really feel like hope, more like an insomniac's lids closing after a long empty night.
either way, most of the spirit in this album is the hum of streetlights and the urban heat island, devoid of life.
