late to post because i used to worry about DMCAs. this fucker is on some level completely alone. monthly joints is certainly more palatable, but this album (from the start) had me twitching and humming of 'autech-step' to myself.

see him, please (10/18 or 19). even if it's already sold out. ignore the terror that is his voice (see video), and anticipate visuals that completely supersede bassnectar and big gigantic.

ingest DOI or 2CI and prepare to construct a city of dataflow. IODO-EVERYTHING.

Vector Lovers

Really low-key IDM from Britain. I still don't understand or like the name of this genre, but damned if I don't love the genre itself. Vector Lovers has the ability to do a lot while keeping things fairly minimal, which lets him keep things about as peaceful as I've heard in IDM. Download this album if you want to know it would sound like to walk through Tokyo in 2048. I cannot praise this album too highly, it's 27 tracks and each one does something completely different and unique while still maintaining a coherent overall theme.



I can't even give realistic highlights, as I'm looking through the tracklist I want to list pretty much every song as a highlight.

Hiroden 651 and Scrap I/O have fantastic electronic parts

Ludique - ludique

Ambient / IDM / Techno (their labels, not mine) out of the Netherlands. Sound kind of like Trentemøller at times, though not quite as polished or consistent. Still, they're only students, so they have a lot of potential. On this album, they've apparently decided to name their songs using madlibs, with titles including "Flabbergasm," "Sex Madness," and "Banana Joe is going bananas."

Highlights are:

Universal Soldiers
Nightfall

The other songs can be good, but also occasionally wander into weird territories. Still, worth a listen as they do some interesting things.
