Have A Nice Life - Deathconsciousness 2008

time of land EP 2010 here

5 years of effort on two discs. think echoes of yul with mid to late katatonia and a lot of belong and some place to bury strangers. it reminds me of angelic process in approach, if not consistent tone.

better reviews here and here. and here.

it's beautiful. and suffocating. bloodhail + big gloom + there is no food is just a bleak, bleak trifecta, should you choose to reorder the discs to suit your own drunken purposes.

Disc One: The Plow That Broke the Plains

1. A Quick One Before the Eternal Worm Devours Connecticutt
2. Bloodhail

Pop. 1280 - The Horror 2012

rarely do album titles fit so well. it sounds like early young widows with liars and some the men kind of bits, but then under a drunk-paul esque transformation. or a 2CT7-paul esque transformation.

one of those transformations where he gets messy, but internally absolves himself of the consequences of his actions.

this is like that.

zomg it's in english!

Komondor - a giant is coming & the giant is going to kill you 2010

a giant is coming & the giant is going to kill you Cover Art

pulvery is all i had left of theirs from the 2009 demo, probably for the monster riff at the beginning. this version sounds a lot cleaner and better.

all of this is retard heavy. and pretty weird. the vocals are awesome, near the weedeater-level of raspy beardedness, and they write riffs that sound like a broken mediafire link no one can figure out.

it's like...pissed jeans and dystopia mashed with...fuck i dont know, what's a sludgy band? some melvins stuff?

1476 - A Wolf's Age (2010)

Dark, fast, catchy, occult punk rock? I dunno, but it's got Argyle Gooslby from Blitzkid playing bass and singing, and it's a very eclectic mix of neo-folk, post-punk, rockabilly and pure straight death rock. Songs about the occult, mysticism and nightmares and longing. Definitely give it a listen if you're into that kinda thing.

Sounds like: A love child of Joy Division and early Misfits, but sped up x10.
