Mirovia

i dont think im going to be able to finish constellations. i dont really have any ideas and i cant play guitar like i used to. if i do make anything else it wont be before the end of september. in that event ill remake all of it i thpose.

so heres most everything ive recorded, because i just relistened to it and its growing on me. and apparently i could kind of play guitar at one point. and the pedal part of my processor used to work once.

Old Stuff - 2007-2010

including the 3 songs from the split with deafest, and a whole lot of improvised nonsense with three-letter titles.

i think hew and tien shan are the bees knees. ive also got a super boner for starfield, density, and sommeil. they turned out nicely. 2 songs got cello, 1 song has banjo, 4 have me singing, 3 have percussion (which ranges from me slapping my thighs to me putting bretts microphone in a large jar and beating the shit out of it), and beyond that its just wanky noodles and samples and obnoxious noises.

good luck, be patient. potential is about half the volume it should be, beyond visible spectra and awe sound like shit and were made up on the spot, the cello is supposed to be out of tune in gen and diu, syn and xen are i dont even know, mer was the first song i made followed by sol, and i would kill to remember how to play tokamak (4:21) and hew.

Boris - Heavy Rocks (2011) 2011

boris make me feel like a fucking retard for ever liking music without an electric guitar in it. i was concerned when they announced they were going to release like 40 albums in 2011, but jesus christ. if theyre all this fucking mind-bendingly emotive and awesome and perfect and destructive, then go for it. boris has got to be one of the few bands that knows what they're doing, even if it changes all the time, and loves doing it so much that they devote everything to constant improvement.

i love boris. a lot.

see them live. a lot.

Suffocate For Fuck Sake - Blazing Fires and Helicopters... (2008)

full title: Blazing Fires and Helicopters on the Front Page of the Newspaper. There's a War Going On and I'm Marching in Heavy Boots

Hard to describe this album. Jumps from drone, to screamo, to post-hardcore, to hardcore, to ambient, to post-rock, it's fucking post everything. But it's amazing.

listen.

Mouth of the Architect - The Violence Beneath 2010

kind of did what domakesaythink did with their last one, which was cut all the horribly drawn-out stuff and GET TO THE ROCKIN. and went nuts on the vocals which is so fucking awesome because they sound amazing. more fun and dynamic than gifts from enola, mostly in part to the voxxx, also due to the ridiculous amount of tones the album plows through. sludgy dual guitar noodling, delay soaked drones with clean and growl vocals simultaneously, etc. and theres no wasted time. very, very well done.

in your eyes is the bee's tits.

drmanhattan - s/t

Hey look I posted something! drmanhattan is fun stuff, I think they have a post punk feel to them but I'm not big on genres. It's catchy, give em a try if you haven't already. I like Tracy's Buns and To Feel Cozy Surrounded By Cats. And they're named after a pretty cool character too, I figure that should count for something.
