Fennesz & Sakamoto - Flumina 2011
this is a hell of an undertaking. i am reminded of enos music for airports, but that may have been a result of my severe desire to listen to this on a plane. its calming and pianoy and fennesz does the electronic backgrounds, im assuming. its kind of like staring at a painting for too long.
judging from the track titles, i want to say each song was made in a day, over a period of a few weeks in march and april. i could be way off, but the tone of each song feels very improvised, in a way that people who are very good at what they do can improvise.
i cant get over the feeling that this would be perfect for air travel. its long as fuck, and each track just dronily slides into the next like crossing through time zones against the sun.
