anyone who went to see WITTR open for gojira and then left after WITTR is a total dick.
gojira is always awesome all of the time. mostly. and this album is one of those always times. its WAY TOTALLY HELLA RAD. christ i love gojira.
sorry ive been shit at PnBing... ive downloaded too much music recently and my waking and resting hours are all consumed by deus ex HR on lowest graphical settings.

One of the better death metal albums I've listened to, of course I'm not that well versed. but it's those deep indecipherable lyrics and just the overall brutality that get me.
Candace. One sixteenth gauges. lately I've been moving forward. not falling behind. magnetic north is always moving, just like the tears that roll down my face.
it would be wonderful if the motherfucking blog search function worked, ever.
is this up? i dont care. also the tracklist is incomplete for the 2011 reissue, which has more rad shit on it.
AS IF, THE WHOLE OF HEAVEN CAME, CRUMBLING, FUCKING, DOWWWNNNNN
1. The Face of My Innocence 2. Maddening Disdain 3. Seven Whispers Fell Silent 4. Return 5. Worship Depraved 6. Carnal Ways to Recreate the Heart 7. Dust and Guilt 8. Elegant and Perverse 9. The Sadistic Motives behind Bereavement Letters 10. Looking to Nothing 11. Wholly Night
i miss these fuckers almost as much as light this city. like a veil of maya without the breakdown-reliant structure and a bit thrashier/more hints of NWOBHMery. twin guitar leads, twin vocal styles, fucking inspired songwriting...
it really is super catchy. like veil of maya and light this city, i am completely unable to forget any of the songs, solos, etc. it's retarded. and they are all like 14 years old. or look like it.
they broke up, reunited, wrote a song, wrote parts of an album i guess, then scrapped it all. honorable, at least.
1. Cacophonous (Intro) 2. Sentinel 3. Mariner’s Cutlass 4. Horus Rises 5. Discarnate By Design 6. Four Winds 7. Celestial Scourge 8. Martyrdom; Ruin Of Gaia 9. Tomb Of The Thracians 10. Delphic Star 11. The Captive 12. Outro
egregiously verbose germans. i loved the shit out of this album. they have a really quiet and flat blastbeat sound that sounds really neat, and some awesome riffs, and a breakdown or two (kind of). i didnt care quite as much for the albums/...ugh, 'chapters' on either side of this one, but seventh sunray is a great, great song.
1. Up From The Blackest Of Soil (Ascension Theme) 01:25
for TJ, because you once revealed that you didnt have it. i dont know if you do now, because that was a year ago, but still. cmon. even the navy used part of one of these songs for an ad. i was pissed.
anyway, i listen to all bodies twice a day. EVERY FUCKING DAY. it doesnt top colors, because nothing much does, but its close.
high school! it sounds like veil of maya sans breakdowns, or commit suicide playing prog rock. the drumming is fucking amazing, and neuraxis continue their trend of sounding perfectly constructed (see: of divinity, unite, etc.). i havent heard the two most recent albums yet.
and im interneting with 102 open tabs! first time breaking the 100 barrier since june!
so its two kids (like, they might be 20ish now?) from oregon. beyond that it's kind of hard to describe. pretty much every kind of vocals ever used in any genre ever, mixed with a lot of drum machines and death metal and pop and white boy rap and bleeding through-esque wanky 2step breakdowns and coral symphonic arrangements and vocoders and R&B and cello noodling.
this is pretty much the logical evolution of the internet in musical form. the lyrics range from peter pan, to being vegeta, to playing gears of war, to trying to find fast food and shooting strangers instead.
whatever my review has made you think about what this may sound like, it sounds completely different. listen to at least some of it. the songwriting is actually really decent, and the fucker can play guitar like...i dont know. like someone whos really good at guitar. theyre really good at programming drums and singing/grunting/rapping/screeching and its generally fucking hilarious. not listening to this is a huge mistake.

holy fuuuck sorry this didnt make it up earlier. this album is one of death metal's crowning achievements. its goddamn flawless and noodly but not too noodly, and all the instruments are perfect. theres a shit ton of videos of them playing all these in the studio too and theres a shit ton of stuff going on. thank the french for gorod and kronos; death metal would fucking suck without them and saprogenic.
hope this link works...
OH GAAAAAHD in high school i used to blast submission right at 1:31 to anyone that walked up to my car and then start thrashing around a ton. i got so much ass.
upon a year and a half of reflection, i prefer this one to from mars to sirius. retardedly colossal, crushing riffs, fucking insane drumming. the vocals and guitar work are also improved. tremolo breakdowns. more double bass rolls than you can deal with. SO FUCKING COOL. i almost broke my neck when they played with WITTR.
the art of dying is one of my favorite songs of all time.
