Rosetta/Restorations - Split 2010

well the rosetta song sounds like....uhh...every other rosetta song ever released but it has a really fucking cool accelerando that i dont think theyve ever done before, and they should certainly use more of. its pretty cool.

restorations is FUCKING AWESOME. someone find more of this! its like a major key-y rosetta with cooler vocals and weird ambient bits (the entire ending) and cool stoner post rock riffs.

Celestine - This Home Will Be Our Grave 2008

icelandic atmo-sludge-core. really amazing riffs and production, they switch back and forth between amazing post rock riffs and choppy off-kilter riffs where they sound like everyone in the band is playing a 5-stringed bass that is way out of tune. highly recommended, and really goddamn hard to find anymore. i hope theyre still a band.

kind of did what domakesaythink did with their last one, which was cut all the horribly drawn-out stuff and GET TO THE ROCKIN. and went nuts on the vocals which is so fucking awesome because they sound amazing. more fun and dynamic than gifts from enola, mostly in part to the voxxx, also due to the ridiculous amount of tones the album plows through. sludgy dual guitar noodling, delay soaked drones with clean and growl vocals simultaneously, etc. and theres no wasted time. very, very well done.
