so i refrained from posting this, even longer than ad majorem, for a vast array of reasons. regardless, it's one of the best albums there is. if you havent heard it (you have), know that they cruise smoothly past the major pitfalls of most other bands in the genre (i.e., sounding tonally limited and fucking boring beyond belief) thanks, i think, to kalnoky's pretentious ass and whichever bassist they had at the time. i think 'saddest song' is probably my favorite, after hearing all of this like 50000 fucking times.
