so this is a promo version (sorry, ish), and i hope it doesnt go down. but holy shit. if you dont recall, this is araabmuzik:




and i guess all(? or most?) of these songs are his remixes of existing songs. but...remixes in the sense that he makes all of them very fucking hard and glitchy and occasionally terrifying. i can only assume that this is largely loop-free and live-drummed. it's pretty stunning.

Little Dragon - Machine Dreams (2009)

Scandinavia is just hemorrhaging musical talent these days it seems, and the Swedish ensemble Little Dragon is no exception. I mentioned these guys briefly in the summer, as lead vocalist Yukimi Nagano is featured on the latest Gorillaz album, Plastic Beach.

This album is perfect for lounging out at home. I could also imagine it making for a tremendously pleasant drive in the rain. Or a walk, anywhere. Overall I'd advocate it for more low-key endeavors, though I've read that they're incredibly dance-y live. God, her voice is amazing. I could listen to it foreverrrrrrrrrrr.

*Note: Treal mentioned something to me about a possible remix of Empire Ants (feat. Little Dragon) by Gorillaz. I'll keep you posted.
