2003. shiiiiiiiit. i have very vivid memories of getting this album in the mail. believe it or not, i have hemorrhaged an absurd amount of money at the music industry. i regret only about 60% of it, even UP TO TEN YEARS LATER.
making everyone listen to the first song in pauls basement, dozing off at the end of ice and movement while jetlagged in florida and having brief and vivid nightmares...
this album is awesome. and it has the slow black metal songs that gorgoroth are...were? so insanely superior at, but i dont know. it didnt really have like...sign of an open eye, or an excerpt of x. the slower songs in here are completely integrated. which is phenomenal. i cant get enough of incipit satan, twilight of the idols, and ad majorem. the three are so, so, so perfect. ill admit though, after incipit and twilight, i was kind of surprised by ad majorem. maybe if i had heard incipit before twilight i would have been more ready for ad majorem. but it completely destroyed me, and i couldnt be happier. it has to be one of the most furious and flawless and terrifying albums ive heard. i want to talk about gorgoroth forever, to everyone.
