Feed Me - To The Stars

He was so fucking good live and a really cool dude for the very brief interactions we had. Pink Lady was unreal live and he also played the second drop of Nero - Crush on You, which was tits. Then he got too drunk during Datsik's set and sprayed a fire extinguisher at the back of his head, thinking it was a foam one lolz. Datsik ran off stage and fell over and the whole stage cleared and no one could breathe. Then Spor ran outside and hid from security underneath a generator haha.

3. Pink Lady
4. Chain Smoker

soccer max is going to hate this one, i think. you both asked for electronic stuff right? its all going to be recent stuffs (in terms of added to this harddrive) too. also someone tell dodd and jeremy, because it might end up electro-heavy and jeremy wanted spor - hydra.

Holy Other - With U EP 2011

from WFLM. im going to abstain from toying with the genre classifications for the time being. it sounds a lot like a balam acab/shlohmo collaboration, with a ton of other shit in there that i am just going to wait for someone else to suggest.

...like "dubby melancholic tech house", which apparently is now a thing, and not just a nigh-random smattering of words. it's sad the blog limits the number of labels you can tag, because i have just discovered about 80 to 90 genres i didnt know existed before tonight.

still, listen to it. so that the PEOPLE WITH MUSIC BLOGS DONT WIN.

De Staat - Machinery 2011

dutch insanity. im nuking the link preemptively, because DMCA seems to be abundant, but i dont want to lose the place-holder so please, please find this on your own. anyone reading this will not be disappointed.

since i dont listen to a whole lot of similar shit, im going to latch onto the similar artists i do know, namely QOTSA and tom waits, with maybe a hint of current young widows terrifying strangeness and a LOT of millionaire - paradisiac strangeness (also pretty highly recommended). listen to ah i see/sweatshop and keep me home, then imagine splitting the difference for the rest of the album. then imagine that somewhere, everyone in europe is having such an absurdly better time than you are.

also i need someone to listen to the girl vocals in sweatshop and tell me if im hearing ke$ha (it's not, but youll hear it too).

Claxon is de nieuwe cowbell!

Battles - Gloss Drop (2011)

Shiny and new! Intricate and funky! Get it here.

And if you don't have their album "Mirrored," you should probably get that too.

YES OMG

This is almost as good as the dirtyphonics remix... but not quite. Still fucking good and way better than skrillex.
They actually use their own synths instead of rearranging skrillex ones, which is sweet.

Murder by Death - Red of Tooth and Claw (2008)

I forget how much I love this band sometimes. I can't truly pick a favorite album. They're somewhat western, cinematic and all of their albums have a narrative. This one is about some fuck up returning home and trying to win this bitch back, supposedly a prequel to Who Will Survive... You could even supplement this album with commentary from Adam Turla (vocalist, guitar) here!

SebastiAn - Total 2011

Can I still post some of the shitty music I listen to on this site? This guy is french. He makes french electro. It's whatever. The album artwork is him kissing himself. Enjoy not listening to it, or listening to it and not enjoying it. I lack confidence. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY I DO THIS TO MYSELF. Anyways, it's a pretty eclectic mix. Its his first full length album. He has mostly just done remixes until now.

also BRETT. do me a solid. listen to "the identification" and at 3:41, isn't that the fucking scientist noise?! once you hear it, i think the entire song is just a destroyed version-

jesus god. it is. the second song is a chopped, raped, and screwed version of a scientist song! and it is glorious.
