for how much stuff out there there is that sounds like a nadja ripoff, i fucking love being able to tell if nadja is actually playing or not in a ambishoedrone album.

because it's noticeable! and that is fucking awesome! because hearing something out of reference and going 'holy shit, is that _____?!' and being correct is a great, elitist feeling that i thoroughly enjoy.

also this album is fucking insane amazing. think tim hecker with some mutilated ben frost and library tapes, with the fucking aidan baker pedalboard that makes everything sound AMAZING. and sometimes there are a-dynamic fast drums, and baker redeems the obtuse jazz-wankery of that last thing.

like sunn and the body mixed and placed in the center of a bear-trap, waiting.
