Jesu - S/T (Picture Disc Mix) 2012
holy. fucking. dicktits.
i got this just planning on replacing the glorious album i had with a more-recently tagged version. then i saw the lengths of each song, and i got so goddamn excited. and then i listened to it.
and the best album ever released got more than rereleased. i die when he does.
freals, listen to 4min+ in walk on water if you want an absurd example of how different things are.
i gently assume that the album wasnt rerecorded, but every song just sounds fucking FLATTENED, with both the treble and bass layers being wildly cut while the actual instruments are tracked sharper (as original? i should probably look this up soon) and the entire album sounding more like a cascade of distinct, fragile layers than the stormwall jesu typically steamrolls around.
...i guess i didnt think that through. why are each of the songs shorter? different versions, surely. ive never been happier to have a library full of duplicates.
1. Your Path to Divinity
2. Friends are Evil
3. Tired of Me
4. We All Faulter
5. Walk on Water
6. Sun Day
7. Man/Woman
8. Guardian Angel

It's shorter because all the songs are +pitched like pop records in the 60s and 70s. Sounds surprisingly great, the vocals especially sound really cool.
oh my god dont they?!
The best! I'm gonna have to play my picture disc vinyl pitched up from now on I think.
