so i was always planning on getting around to this. ad majorem is fucking insane, and easily contains some of the best music gorgoroth has ever written, along with some of the best black metal i have ever heard. god seed, sign of an open eye, and of course prosperity and beauty are flawless (thanks in large part to king's writing and frost doing drums). prosperity and beauty remains solidly in my "3rd favorite song" position, although its more of a tie for 2nd with cult of luna - genesis. the end of the song (/album) is un-fucking-believable.
